DPTS Wins CAAS III $150M Air Force Contract
Quantico, VA– September 7, 2007 - DP Technology Services, Inc. (DPTS), a business and technology solutions provider, was awarded the Headquarters Air Combat Command’s Contract Advisory and Assistance Services III (CAAS III) contract. Darla Portillo, President & CEO said, “As a small business, DPTS was one of the eight companies to be awarded prime contracts under this indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. With a $150M ceiling, DPTS and our team partners will provide the Air Force a broad range of technical and analytical services to support the Command’s overall mission.”
Through the five-year CAAS III program, the DPTS Team will provide a variety of technical expertise in management and professional services; studies, analyses and evaluations; and engineering and technical services. The program is designed to improve policy development, management and administration, and operation of systems for the Air Force’s primary force provider of combat airpower for America’s war fighting commands. “Our support will cover worldwide Air Force units including Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC), ACC Bases and ACC geographically separated units,” stated Portillo.
As a force provider, ACC operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management and electronic-combat aircraft as well as command, control, communications and intelligence systems. ACC organizes, equips, maintains and trains combat-ready forces for rapid deployment and employment while ensuring strategic air defense forces are ready to meet the challenges of peacetime air sovereignty and wartime air defense.
A team of eight organizations, the DPTS Team includes both small and large businesses with extensive experience supporting ACC units: ASI, IDSI, Lockheed Martin, LMI, LTM, MacAulay-Brown, ManTech C2, Northrop Grumman IT and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Portillo stated, “With this team of complimentary organizations with specialized experience, we will support the government in continuing its air defense support effort while ensuring we are ready to meet the challenges of America’s future war fighters, during peacetime and wartime.”
