What is CAAS III?

The U.S. Air Force CAAS III (Contract Advisory & Assistance Service III) program is designed to provide broad technical and analytical services to support and improve policy development, management and administration and operation of systems for the Air Force’s primary force provider of combat airpower for America’s war fighting commands, Headquarters ACC (HQ ACC). HQ ACC, ACC bases and ACC geographically separated units will use CAAS III to purchase technical expertise in Management and Professional Services, Studies, Analyses and Evaluations; and Engineering and Technical Services.

 

Why Use CAAS III?

CAAS III provides Air Force authorities with an easy way to contract for support services.  CAAS III already has:

 

• An executed contract vehicle that is a way of easily accessing multiple qualified and cost competitive   businesses to support global implementation of our national security strategy to ensure that our air defense   forces are ready to meet the challenges of peacetime air sovereignty and wartime air defense.
• A faster and easier process of procuring services – using CAAS III Task Orders with the ability to scale with   your needs and handle all your requirements.
• A short contracting process that ensures supplemental staff is working quickly.
• An established Statement of Work with corresponding Labor Categories that have been standardized for Air   Force authorities to use – that means no lengthy RFP process to go through.
• Coverage support across all CONUS and OCONUS ACC bases.
• A way of meeting your small business requirements – DPTS is certified as an SB, SDB, 8(a), WOSB, and HUB   Zone.
• No government fees to use this contract vehicle.
