On behalf of Congresswoman Giffords, we are writing to support and highlight the importance of Operations Angel Thunder, a critical Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) exercise that is operated from Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. I took part in this year’s exercise (2011). We found that Angel Thunder is an extremely efficient use of military resources, leveraging millions of dollars in contributions from training partners, and provides unique and life-saving personnel and CSAR training.
